My Story

As a teenager in Cyprus during the invasion I learned early what uncertainty feels like and how truth can get lost when people are afraid. It shaped the lens I carry to this day: question what doesn’t make sense, look beneath the surface and never take things at face value.

That instinct pushed me into journalism, reporting on the Lebanese civil war and the Cyprus conflict - sometimes on the front line, close enough to see how narratives are shaped, how power communicates and how easily fear distorts truth. It taught me to listen for what’s real, not what’s loud.

Later, in the heat of the dotcom boom, I co-founded a tech start-up and found myself in another environment full of noise - ambition, pressure, opinions and egos. It made me sharper. More pragmatic. Less willing to tolerate nonsense. I learned how to stay steady, think for myself and call things as they are.

For more than two decades, I’ve worked with senior leaders around the world - in crisis, in conflict, in moments where clarity matters more than performance. I’ve coached people through situations where truth is uncomfortable, where courage is required and where the easy option is rarely the right one.

The consistent lesson: leadership means cutting through the noise and standing on solid ground, even when it’s unpopular.

Returning to Cyprus after years abroad has only strengthened that conviction. I’m here because I want to contribute to something real. Not just professionally but personally. I’m interested in honesty, purpose and change that actually matters. In disrupting the status quo when it’s failing people. In asking better questions. In refusing to accept surface-level answers.

Everything I’ve lived — the conflict, the pressure, the scrutiny, the responsibility has led me back to myself, and back to where I started.

And from here, I intend to use my voice, my experience and my clarity to make an impact that counts.
